IHSS
What is IHSS?
IHSS Services
In-Home Support Services (IHSS) helps individuals remain safely at home by providing support with daily activities and supervision. These services are designed to reduce the need for out-of-home care and to support families in maintaining stability and routine at home.
IHSS may help with:
Supervision and safety monitoring
Assistance with personal care (such as hygiene and dressing)
Support with daily routines and structure
Help with mobility and daily living tasks
Guidance and encouragement with independence
When eligible, parents, guardians, or other trusted caregivers may be hired and paid to provide IHSS care. This allows support to be delivered by someone who already understands the individual’s needs, communication style, and routines.
